Item description from seller

Small 8vo. pp. 4: 16: 20: 24: 20: 20: 20: 16: [40]: illustrations. Original wrappers bound in blue cloth with the name Captain R.M.S. Barrett in gilt; pencil signature of Barrett to front end paper. The first 4 pages consist of a letter to every member of the Eighth Air Force from Lieutenant General James Doolittle, the commanding officer. The army talks were restricted and issued to service personnel only except for the final issue "American Uncles" which was written by Peter Howard, political correspondent at the Daily Express. The single issue of the Royal Air Force Journal mostly concerns the US Army Air Force in Britain during the war. Scarce. I have been unable to trace any copies of the Army Talks in institutions or in commerce.
