This is an analysis of western European landscape design. The book examines the relationship between the architecture of buildings, and that of land and city-scapes. The transportation of landscape design to urban design is analyzed and described using examples from different periods, demonstrating how landscape design has always exhibited a powerful influence on the conceptual development of urban sites.
