Author Charles R.W. Sears is back with this groundbreaking work on “The Hard Problem of Consciousness” by Dr. David Chalmers.
The Architecture of Awareness: Decoding Consciousness presents clear explanations for both the "how" and the "why" of Chalmer's hard problem. It offers a shift in the paradigm for understanding how our physical systems give rise to consciousness. It offers a new “way of thinking about” consciousness by integrating the leading concepts in philosophy and research in psychology, neuroscience, and sociology.
Our present inability to explain consciousness and the “subjective experience” plagues the field of psychology, especially in the area of mental health. This lack of understanding has left the resolution of severe mental health conditions up for wide interpretations, arguably perpetuating the problems rather than resolving them.
This work offers expert insights into how to approach many challenges in understanding mental health by providing more than a review of existing ideas; it outlines novel models and methods for understanding the motivation behind behaviors and mapping the human mind, such as The Spectrum of Conscious Awareness, the Unifying Theory of Emergent Consciousness, and the Ouroboros Cycle of Civilization.
By understanding the concepts in this book, readers will have the knowledge to align their understanding with “the big picture” of how humanity operates–how a single neuron in the human mind works to give rise to first-world civilizations.
Whether you are a family therapist or clinical psychologist or possess a genuine interest in understanding how your mind works, this book offers solutions to the many mysteries of the mind. Add The Architecture of Awareness: Decoding Consciousness to your library today and gain access to a new perspective on the human mind!
