Paperback. WHAT IF THE MILLENNIALS WENT ON STRIKE AND SHUT DOWN THE INTERNET AND DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE? THIS IS THE EPIC STORY AND WARNING OF ARCHIMEDES SLAKED. In an all-too-familiar alternative current day, America has been torn apart by extreme ideologies and political divisiveness. Countless millions are mesmerized by the rhetoric of media and internet pundit Topher Blue who promises the restoration of limited government and the elimination of dependency. Battling record unemployment and homelessness, the poor take to the streets under Mercy Green, a cult of personality with a collectivist message no less polarizing than that of her opponent. Rejecting the chaos and recognizing their role as the guardians of the technological infrastructure upon which the world now depends, tech workers begin to go on strike while others mysteriously disappear. Neera Solai is the tough CEO of a tech company introducing revolutionary nano-technology. When a mysterious cyber terrorist wielding a radical invasive technology renders her system inert and threatens countless others, she must band together with Abriado Centeri, the richest person in the world and visionary founder of an under-construction technological island paradise at sea. Together, they must find the terrorist and harness this technology, before Blue and his cronies can utilize it as a weapon to cripple all electronic commerce and communication. In this epic, philosophical, techno-thriller, H. Scott Sturm incorporates website and social media postings to shine a light on the dangerous extremism developing in America today.and where we might go if we do not find a balance, and the extraordinary future technology offers if we do.
