This volume provides a comprehensive exploration of how intelligent computational techniques are transforming sustainable energy systems. As the world shifts from centralized, fossil-based infrastructures to decentralized, renewable-based models, technologies such as AI, machine learning, IoT, and advanced analytics are becoming essential to optimizing performance, enhancing resilience, and securing long-term sustainability.
The book covers:
• Principles of sustainable development and the transition to renewable energy.
• AI and ML applications for forecasting, optimization, and control in solar, wind, and hybrid systems.
• Intelligent strategies for distributed power, smart grids, and demand response.
• Circular economy imperatives in solar PV, from lifecycle analysis to closed-loop recycling.
• Fault detection, predictive maintenance, and self-healing networks for resilient power systems.
• AI-driven demand-side management, load forecasting, and flexibility optimization.
• Methods to balance wind variability with hybrid storage and intelligent dispatch.
By combining rigorous technical detail with practical applications, this book equips researchers, engineers, and policymakers with the tools to design and manage next-generation sustainable energy systems.
