A killer pie, a tight-knit squad, an ex who won’t quit, and one sassy cat.
Maddie never expected to find her best friend’s body—let alone be accused of the crime. Now, she’s in a race against time to clear her name before she ends up behind bars… or the real killer strikes again.
With her ride-or-die gal pals by her side—and a feisty feline with a nose for trouble—Maddie dives into the case. But things get complicated when her ex, the town sheriff, keeps getting in the way. He may be as confused as she is, but the real question is: does he believe she’s innocent?
Baking may be Maddie’s specialty, but solving a murder isn’t as easy as pie.
If you love Murder, She Wrote and culinary cozies packed with charm, mystery, and a touch of sass, you’ll love the Maple Lane Mysteries!
Each book contains an easy recipe or two!
“This book was so much longer than your average cozy mystery and I love that about it. It’s not a simple murder cozy. You get to know the characters better and I just think a longer storyline has more flavor! I also love that it’s a strong female main character who doesn’t need a man to be happy. Having a little romance mixed in then makes it that much better. Can’t wait to try the recipes.” - K J Nolan
“I like to try to solve the case before I get to the big reveal, but I was wrong. I love that. I've never read this author before, but I will definitely read the next book in this series. Don't miss this one.” - Celest
“Don't think for a moment that this Apple Pie Cozy is like all the others. Yes there is a murder, but it is solved totally different then all the rest. I read this book in one night not because it's short, but because it was that good. I recommend this book and I will read all of C.A.Phipps works.” – Deborah Lavery
“Light, easy reading, this book had great characters and a plot that was easy to follow.” - Gloria

Store description
In 2002, World of Books Group was founded on an ethos to do good, protect the planet and support charities by enabling more goods to be reused. Since then, we've grown into to a global company pioneering the circular economy. Today, we drive the circular economy through three re-commerce brands: - Wob: Through Wob, we sell. We provide affordable, preloved books and media to customers all over the world. A book leaves our collection of over seven million titles and begins a new chapter every two seconds, enabling more goods to be reused. - Ziffit: Through Ziffit, we buy. We give people around the world the opportunity to contribute to the circular economy, earn money and protect the planet, by trading their unwanted books and media. - Shopiago: Through Shopiago, we help others. By sharing the technology that has grown World of Books Group into the business it is today, we’re helping charities increase revenue and reduce waste through re-commerce.…
