Between 1968 and 1972, NASA’s manned Apollo programme reached out from Earth’s orbit to the Moon. This chronological account records the aims and achievements of each of its eleven missions, illustrated with the many colour photographs they brought back: dramatic images of the Earth from space, the cramped interiors of their spacecraft, the lunar module in orbit, and, from Apollo 11 onwards, astronauts setting foot in the unfamiliar lunar landscape. Text in English, German and French.
