Battle on a bridge, with soldiers on foot and on horseback fighting on the bridge and at front right, and with a cross. After the title page of a series by Stefano della Bella, 'Varie Figure di Stef. della bella' published between 1642-1647.This small print is mirrored in respect to the original and is smaller; the soldier riding the horse and the bridge in the distance are preserved, however details such as the arms of France on the bridge are no longer visible.On the verso collector's mark of Agassis (1811-1889), L. 69. Etching on paper, trimmed to plate mark; total: 66 x 90 mm; mounted on cardboard; nice impression; De Vesme/Massar 1971 nr. 173, copy in reverse. Seller Inventory # 60765
