A beautiful, century-old antique collectible book for lovers of vintage children's literature, fairy tales, and classic German Jugendstil/turn-of-the-century illustrations. The book features 16 traditional folk tales adapted for young children, mostly by the Brothers Grimm.
It is printed in a gorgeous, historic German Fraktur typeface and features a stunning, colorful mounted cover vignette depicting "The Wolf and the Seven Young Goats". Overall in Very Good Antique Condition! The interior pages are exceptionally clean, bright, and crisp, with no drawings, scribbles, or dog-ears. A very solid and charming copy. Due to its age, there is a minor bit of wear/damage at the bottom of the spine (spine foot) and the binding staples show some rust aging. Normal light shelf wear to the corners.
