Item description from seller

Handbill, 115 x 140 mm. printed in blue, closely triimmed. Kate Kearney was a well known Irish beauty in late 18th century; she would welcome weary travellers to her cottage with a taste of her famous poitin. This is an answer to the ballad 'Kate Kearney' c. 1800 written by Lady Sydney Morgan, who performed it herself in her play 'The First Attempt' in Dublin in 1807. Jabez Vale, printer, was active in the mid-19th century.
