Inspired by the most popular article ever in Mens Health magazine, Joe Kita shares an uproarious journey to be enjoyed by men and women alike.
We all have regrets. Rarely do we have an opportunity to discover what could have been. After turning 40, Mens Health writer Joe Kita set out to relive 20 personal regrets. He recounts his adventures in Another Shot, the hilarious yet poignant successor to Wisdom of Our Fathers and The Fathers Guide to the Meaning of Life. Dismayed that hes not the lover he wants to be, he and his wife go to sex camp. Bemoaning having sold his first love, a powerhouse Camaro, he and a private eye spend six months trying to locate the car. Still smarting from the sting of getting cut from his high school basketball team, he convinces his alma maters coach to let him try out for the squad again20 years later. Kita is a superb storyteller with an outstanding media personality and a rapidly growing following. His quests for redemption are unique, his reasons for doing so easily understood by all. At once witty and profound, Another Shot speaks to everyone who has ever harbored regrets or wished for a second chance.
