Item description from seller

160pp, richly illustrated throughout. Laminated, illustrated stiff card covers. Landscape 8vo. Covers are very slightly rubbed on extreme edges, with a hint of toning on the upper panel, else volume is neat, clean, bright and tight throughout. Written and illustrated by creature designer Terry Whitlatch, the core philosophy of Animals Real and Imagined is that to draw imaginary animals you must first understand the movement, behaviour and anatomy of real animals. Packed with detailed pencil sketches and cull colour paintings, Whitlatch shows the skeleton frameworks of both actual and imaginary beasts and beings.
