In reality, Hank is a felon who has been released from prison. Alice is concerned the truth about Hank will come to light if he tries to become part of Angie's life. Alice's fears become real when Hank kidnaps Angie, demands money and threatens Angie's future if Alice tells the police or anybody else about the ransom.
