Paperback. Young Dakota Denning has been abused all of her life - verbally and physically. Why? Because through the years, she is the one child her Mama despises. At the age of eleven, Dakota gains an independent strength in beginning her journey to find freedom and God's gift of salvation. The one person Dakota feels she can trust and love is Mama's best friend, Mary, who has always been available for her. However, eventually Mama tries to destroy that, resulting in Dakota having to fight for Mary's love. Running from the abuse and toward the love she desperately needs, Mama and the authorities decide to commit her to the state reform school, declaring her a habitual runaway. Angels, Teddy Bears, and Roses is one of life's lessons that teaches us a family is not always characterized as "blood". Author Deborah Norton's heart-provoking, human interest story is one of fiction, based on a true story. You will be intrigued by its suspense as the author candidly reveals to her readers that forgiveness is always possible. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11 NIV This item is printed on demand.
