This is the perfect book to empower parents and children to learn what happens when they go to get their shots!
Andre doesn’t want to get his shots...until he learns how they work to protect his body! Tag along with Andre and discover the exciting way our body protects itself from germ monsters using armor and shields created from shots.
“From kings and castles to white knights (the white blood cell kind, that is) and monster bots, Andre’s Armor author Dr. Mo, along with the story’s engaging Dr. Okafor, are sure to capture readers’ interest and imagination. Like “King” Andre and his mother, readers young and old alike are sure to find themselves reassured about vaccines and how they work, and better equipped with the knowledge (and vaccines) they need to protect themselves against any “germ monsters” that dare come their way!”- Laura A. Jana, MD – Pediatrician and Health Communicator - Author of The Toddler Brain: Nurture the Skills Today that Will Shape Your Child's Tomorrow, and Jumping Into Kindergarten: Get Ready for the First Day of School
“I am overjoyed to read to my son a book with characters that both look like him and understand his fears. Our children, too often, have to understand their world through the lens of others who neither care or share their struggles. It’s even more impactful that something so complicated is translated into such beautiful and easy-to-read prose!"- Devon Lee, PhD –Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Programs - Jopwell
