This edition is part of the Golden Treasure Library which was made up of 8 volumes. Volume is undated but probably 1920s-30s. In publisher's original maroon cloth binding with title in gold to spine and Mabel Lucie Attwell's colour plate 'the Ugly Duckling' to front cover. This includes 6 colour plate inserts. Would of originally had an artistic jacket in full colour and gold but this is missing. Spine is worn and faded, binding is not as tight as it was, has come away at the seam on the front end paper and colour inserts are coming loose as they were only tipped into the binding . There is some foxing and small stains to many of the pages, foxing to fore and bottom edge. Further details and images are available on request. Seller Inventory # 85
