Wrappers. Spine slightly rubbed, covers a little marked, lower cover and last two leaves slightly torn and creased at head. With the pencilled ownership signature of Stephen Keynes. Cover imprint gives "PRIVATELY PRINTED / PARIS" ("Not to be sold in England Or U.S.A.") "I was born in the province of the Bouches-du-Rhône. My father came from an old family of Arles, a pretty little town where everything unites to inspire joy and pleasure. Gallantry would seem to be the unique interest of its inhabitants. In that town one becomes acquainted with love as soon as one can think, and one thinks only in order to facilitate the means of tasting of the sweets of love . . .".
