For the past twenty years she has conducted quilt retreats on Beaver Island, Michigan, her year-round home. She was a regular columnist for Ladies Circle Patchwork Quilt for twelve consecutive years.

Joe Cunningham has made a living making quilts for 30 years. Author and co-author of numerous books on quilts, quilt history, and quiltmaking, he teaches nationally and curates special quilt exhibits.
