This 6.5 x 9.5, xxi, 429-page book is in at least very good condition. The blue cloth covers show just a touch of wear to the spine crown and foot and the bottom corners show just a touch of wear. The end-paper map of Everest outstanding. No missing or damaged pages, no creases or tears in the book, and no underlining/highlighting of text or writing in the margins. Very minimal wear and tear. The dust wrapper is in at least good condition with only minor crinkling and bending, with a one-inch tear and an additional chipping along the top front panel being the only real detracting issue. The interior pages are clean and bright with maps and illustrations. It is a hardcover volume with dust jacket in vg/g condition. It is a stated first edition. Author Ullman was not only the ?elected historian? of the expedition but was also the oldest member. The book takes you through the entire expedition of the first American team to reach the summit of Mt. Everest. Appears perfect aside from minor softening at spine ends.
