Includes extensive historical introduction; and each volume has appendices, with bibliographical notes, text notes, index, and pictures of each secretary covered in the volume. All volumes are very good, tight, and unmarked, with only a couple having slightly bumped corners, and a slight tear at inner hinge of inside front cover. Dj's are missing from volumes 1, and 2.
