About the Author: Patricia Cox was at the forefront of the American quilting revival of the 1970s. An early champion and researcher of Baltimore applique designs, she was closely involved with the National Quilting Association (USA) certification program for teaching. She lives in Minneapolis. Maggi McCormick Gordon is an editor and writer who specializes in needlecraft and quilting titles. Her previous books include The Book of Home Sewing (Dutton), The Quilting Sourcebook (Trafalgar Square Publishing), The Quilter's Guide to Amish Quilts (Quilt Digest Press) and The Quilter's Guide to Pictorial Quilts (Watson-Guptill). Born in Texas, she now lives in London, England.
