In fair condition. 19th century library labels. Ex-library of Leicester Public Library. Boards are moderately worn with dryness and peeling along corners and edges. Spines lightly creased. Interiors are typically toned with moderate foxing. Does not affect text. Printer’s errors (see photos) that have cut off text. Bindings are tight and intact. Please see photos. Difficult to find as a set. Jeremy Belknap was an 18th-century American historian from New Hampshire who is chiefly remembered for his account of New Hampshire. However, later in his career he published a biographical dictionary of famous Americans, explorers, and those who helped develop culture in North America. Notable names include Christopher Columbus Hernando Cortez Ferdinand Magellan Ferdinand de Soto Sir Walter Raleigh Henry Hudson accounts of English Puritans According to Larned, Contains thirty-one biographies of explorers and founders of colonies.
