Print on Demand. This book presents a compelling argument that contradicts popular US perceptions of Great Britain as a country driven by a desire to monopolize. In fact, the author argues, the UK doesn’t exercise monopolies or create any substantial obstacles to other nations’ trade and commerce. This is the case in the UK itself, its vast empire, and its self-governing colonies. The author's rigorous examination of history reveals that the widespread US belief of the UK’s malevolence is not based in fact, which has led to unnecessary international tension. The book’s insights will significantly challenge readers’ understanding of UK/US relations. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.
