About the Author

Michele is a retired high school teacher with twenty-five years in the classroom and has continued to volunteer and substitute teach for many years. She has watched the school environment change over the past forty-six years-and change dramatically in recent years. Michele recognizes new dangers of being in the classroom that need to be addressed, and she has a unique ability to participate in conversations about important education topics such as isolation and depression. Her new book, Always, includes a plan to assist schools and help school children in distress.

In the creation of Always, Michele was assisted by a past student, Shala, who shares her love of science as well as the distressing gift of seizures. Shala became an epileptic as a child and Michele as an adult following brain surgery.
