Print on Demand. This book provides an in-depth analysis of alternating current (AC) phenomena. While the basic concepts of AC theory are presented, most of the book deals with the more advanced and complex aspects—topics often missing from introductory treatments. The approach is analytical but uses simple mathematics, making it comprehensible to those with a basic knowledge of calculus and vectors. The author draws on decades of industrial experience to provide unique insights and detailed explanations of practical issues that engineers must face when working with AC systems. In addition to explanations of underlying principles, the text is supported by nearly 180 diagrams and 100 worked examples. Most of the worked examples are not trivial applications of formulas but are rather explorations of real-world situations that illustrate the practical uses and limitations of AC theory. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
