His expertise includes characterizing genetic makeup and metabolic engineering of medicinal plants such as Aloe vera, Asparagus racemosus, Zingiber officinale, Bryophyllum pinnatum, and Capsicum annuum L. His contributions to the scientific community are reflected in his extensive publication record, boasting over 100 research papers in highly esteemed journals. During her postdoctoral work at National Agri-Food Biotechnology Institute (NABI), Mohali, under the Department of Biotechnology (Govt. of India), she played a pivotal role in the biofortification of banana and development of transgene-free genome editing systems.
