With graduation near and Seattle waiting, two best friends must decide whether their almost was nothing or the start of everything.Ayla and Emmett have spent too long living inside an almost. They are best friends with too much history, too many saved seats, too many almost-moments, and one unanswered question standing between them. Then a private recording from the winter dance slips into the school's senior memory archive, and everything they have both been avoiding comes painfully into the light.Suddenly, Ayla is forced to face more than her own feelings. She must deal with broken trust, exposed private moments, and the quiet ache of realizing that Emmett's silence never meant what she thought it did. Emmett, with a life-changing music program in Seattle waiting just beyond graduation, must finally decide whether careful silence is protecting anyone at all-or only costing him the person who matters most.As the final days of senior year unfold through library shelves, photo strips, family kitchens, saved lunch chairs, and one unforgettable airport goodbye, Ayla and Emmett have to learn what honesty looks like when time is short and feelings are real.
