Item description from seller

The stated hard cover "Library Edition" in pebbled dark green cloth lettered in yellow. 287 pp. with 165 photographic images. Generally fine with the usual dulling to front cover lettering. In pictorial dust jacket (with closed tear lower 1/4 of the front panel) featuring images not only of Twombly but also early 20th century New York Giants Jeff Tesreau, Chief Meyers, Christy Mathewson, Buck Herzog, and Wilbert Robinson, manager of the Brooklyn Ddogers (or "Robins" if you prefer) and 19th century Baltimore Oriole. A memoir of George Twombly, who once played for the minor league Baltimore Orioles (primarily) and briefly in the majors 1914-17 for Cincinnati and the Boston Braves, and for one more game with the Washington Senators in 1919. There is a chapter "Baseball' but the rest of the book are tales from his life---the most basebally thing really, is the dust jacket.
