"I gather in this book the transcription of a conversation with Alighiero Boetti, recorded in the spring of 1986, in Rome, in the artist's house on Via Fratelli Bandiera. In the transcription, I sought a middle ground between the spontaneity of spoken language and the requirements of syntax, eliminating, as much as possible, repetitions and references too closely tied to the contingent reality of the meeting.
