Hardback, Approx 8 x 6 inches. In green cloth covers with dark green lettering to front and spine, and gilt ?Griffon and Mock-Turtle? design to front. Pictorial green endpapers. In illustrated dustwrapper. In very good condition. With very good dustwrapper. (DW some minor handling marks, small chips to ends of spine, small nicks to corners, small nick to top edge on rear, small tear nr. bottom rear corner. One small nick/hole nr. edge on rear. In protective sleeve.) Some minor fading to cloth on spine and some partial fading to cloth on rear board. Some light foxing to endpapers and prelims, neat inscription to halftitle page ?To Miss Madje Le Couteur, with best wishes from G.L. Matthew, Xmas 1917.? Some occasional mild foxing to inside pages, else overall pages clean and bright. Plates all clean and bright, all with titled tissue guards, a few tissue guards a little creased on edges. Binding firm and sound. Else a very good clean and tight first edition in dustwrapper. 162pp. With 13 full-page colour plates, and many b&w illustrations, full-page and within text.
