About this Item
Unpaginated. Approx. 125 colour plates in beige cloth album, 29 cm., entitled D.P.W. Paint Specifications for Engineers & Architects. Some pencil marks plus small label to spine and some soiling to covers. These are not paint specifications but colour plates and magazine covers showing paintings of various American and European buildings. Most are from The Architectural Forum, The American Architect, or Pencil Points. Often the artist and/or architect is identified. Looks like former owner saved the attractive colour plates from magazines and bound them in what was convenient, this used cloth binder. Buildings include American homes, synagogues, skyscrapers, schools, hotels, etc. and European bridges, churches, streetscapes, stately homes, ancient monuments, and so on. Some plates have detailed descriptions on reverse. A unique collection for art and architecture lovers. Seller Inventory # 116670
