Albucius is a work by French writer Pascal Quignard, presented as a collection of fifty-three short stories attributed to the fictional Roman writer Titus Albucius from the early reign of Augustus. The book, first published in French in 1990 and in English in 1992 by Lapis Press, is a fictional reconstruction of lost Roman literature, described as a "Roman 'Thousand and One Nights'". It features stories involving sex, murder, violence, and legal debate, creating a dark and often brutal portrait of life in Rome under the first empire. This book is in excellent condition.
