A tense sea-to-tundra adventure where danger, duty, and a buried past collide in icy Alaska.
In this gripping frontier tale, a weathered sea captain crosses paths with a determined young woman aboard a northern voyage. As the ship nears the Wrangel Narrows and the Inside Passage, loyalties are tested, secrets surface, and the harsh beauty of Alaska becomes a character in its own right. The story follows a dangerous pursuit through ice, mountains, and shadowed loyalties, where trust and courage are the stakes.
From bustling ports to remote tundra, the narrative threads together peril, protection, and a mysterious past that drives the action. Readers will encounter rugged heroes, perilous decisions, and moments of quiet reflection amid the storm and stars of the northern frontier.
- High-stakes pursuit across sea and snow.
- Complex friendships and shifting loyalties in a perilous landscape.
- A tense buildup of secrets that shape every choice.
- Atmospheric scenes of Alaska’s wild, unforgiving beauty.
Ideal for readers who enjoy adventurous classics set against a stark, dramatic backdrop of the far north.

About the Author
Michigan-born James Oliver Curwood, author of thirty-three books, was one of the world's most popular adventure writers, often ranked in a class with Jack London and Zane Grey. Curwood's realm was the North and Northwest; his assets, a remarkable imagination and insight into animals, a love of nature, and a born storytelling gift. He was a seasoned hunter and tracker himself when he faced the open jaws of a grizzly who chose not to kill him. The encounter transformed him and became the inspiration for his novel The Bear, which was the basis for Jean-Jacques Annaud's film success.
