What’s in Your Alabaster Box?
Breaking Open Your Heart Before God — A Journey of Worship, Surrender, and Transformation
What would happen if you truly poured everything out at the feet of Jesus?
In Scripture, the alabaster box was more than a container—it held something precious, costly, and deeply personal. When the woman broke it open, she released a fragrance that filled the room and touched the heart of God forever. Her act of worship was not loud, polished, or approved by others—but it was remembered by heaven.
In What’s in Your Alabaster Box?, Pastor Roxanne Simpson invites readers on a reverent, Scripture-rooted journey into the heart of true worship. Drawing from the powerful account in Luke 7 and related passages, this book explores what it means to surrender fully, worship authentically, and offer God what costs us something.
This devotional-style book is designed to lead readers beyond surface-level faith into a life marked by brokenness, obedience, and transformation.
Inside this book, you’ll discover:
-
The spiritual meaning of the alabaster box and why it matters today
-
What true worship looks like when it requires sacrifice
-
How God uses broken vessels to release His fragrance
-
The connection between surrender, forgiveness, and anointing
-
How to maintain spiritual fragrance in a contaminated world
-
Lessons from the alabaster woman that still speak today
Each chapter includes:
Scripture (KJV)
In-depth devotional reflection
Practical application for daily living
Reflection questions
Prayer
Journaling space
The book concludes with a powerful final reflection, altar-call-style closing prayer, and journaling pages that invite readers to examine their own hearts and ask the defining question:
What’s in my alabaster box?
