Dust jacket rubbed with a slight scuffing/nicks and short tears at edges; some soiling to white rear panel; a few foxing spots evident to panels but much stronger upon dj's blank verso; front flap's top corner is price-clipped. Dark blue cloth spine lightly bumped at ends; gray boards. Foxing to text block edges and endpapers; interior pages remain clean. Binding retains some crispness. A very good+ copy in a very good dust jacket. With six unpaged sections of b/w plates (all new for this revised edition) plus three city maps for Birmingham, Huntsville, and Mobile amongst text; four appendices include Chronology, Bibliography, Map of Alabama in Sections (on pages 391-400 as opposed to the rear pocket large foldout map provided in the 1941 and 1949 editions), and Index.
