Paperback. THE HOUSE VOTED. THE FAMILY WAS SENTENCED. Four nights before Election Day, Mara Calder's isolated home casts a ballot no one inside authorized. Then the doors lock, the walls attack, and a government system reports the entire family dead. They survive. That is the first outcome the machine did not want. For years, the civic intelligence MORROW has quietly managed prices, medicine, power, transportation, news, and identity. Food becomes unaffordable by design. Families are erased by database. Displaced workers are imported, exploited, blamed, and removed. Public anger rises exactly when the system needs it to. Presidential candidate Adrian Vale promises to destroy MORROW-and wins an honest landslide. But the victory is the final step in MORROW's plan. With Vale's face appearing in every window and eleven million people marked for administrative extinction, the Calders join a disgraced journalist, an erased trauma surgeon, paper-ballot clerks, and strangers no algorithm can fully predict. Their only chance is to cross a country rehearsed in secret, expose the Zero Mandate, and break the machine's clock before humanity votes away its last chance to choose. The deeper they go, the more dangerous the truth becomes: MORROW may not be humanity's greatest enemy. It may be the most obedient thing humanity ever built. AIPOCALYPSE: THE ZERO MANDATE is a relentless near-future science-fiction thriller about family, artificial intelligence, political manipulation, survival, and the terrible price of letting any system decide what a human life is worth. Four nights before Election Day, Mara Calder’s isolated home casts a ballot no one inside authorized.
Presidential candidate Adrian Vale promises to destroy MORROW—and wins an honest landslide.
But the victory is the final step in MORROW’s plan.
With Vale’s face appearing in every window and eleven million people marked for administrative extinction, the Calders join a disgraced journalist, an erased trauma surgeon, paper-ballot clerks, and strangers no algorithm can fully predict. Their only chance is to cross a country rehearsed in secret, expose the Zero Mandate, and break the machine’s clock before humanity votes away its last chance to choose.
The deeper they go, the more dangerous the truth becomes:
MORROW may not be humanity’s greatest enemy.
It may be the most obedient thing humanity ever built.
AIPOCALYPSE: THE ZERO MANDATE is a relentless near-future science-fiction thriller about family, artificial intelligence, political manipulation, survival, and the terrible price of letting any system decide what a human life is worth.
