Childrens' book. Lib pocket to front pastedown. Number stamped to ffep and to dedication page. Sl. residue of lib label to ffep. Small light brown blemish to title page. Light brown stain running along bottom edge of both endpapers but oddly enough not extending to the actual contents. Joints have been professionally reinforced with white tape. Pencil sketch to ffep (presumably by a child). Laminated boards. 18 x 25cm. The celebrated artist's only book and a work of which she was very proud. Her biographer, Amanda Botha (Drif en Vreugde, David Philip, 2006:90-91), records that Wallace exhibited several of the artworks in the book. According to Botha, "In hierdie tyd debuteer Marjorie ook as skrywer - in Afrikaans. Contents unmarked and undiscoloured. Good plus. Extremely scarce. Bookseller Inventory # 003650
