This trend does not pass without a trace even in the software test. After the importance of testing in agile projects is undisputed, the professionalisation and integration of individual employees in the cross-roles activities of the agile approach now come to the fore.
The classic role patterns of the test blur and merge into each other. Testers' own responsibility increases. For the classic tester, this means an enrichment and enhancement of his role, as it also takes on tasks and activities of other professions.
- The importance of the team
- The Crux with the tools in agile projects
- The seven worst test automation ideas
- Test methods in an agile environment.
- Tester: Generalist vs. Specialist?
But what are the tasks of software testing in agile projects? How can they be organised in different agile approaches – such as Scrum or Kanban – to be organised? What significance do test tools have in this context? How do the responsibilities differ against each other or work synergistically together?
To these very concrete questions that arise again and again in operational project events, this book provides possible answers, complemented by proven approaches from practice.
Manfred Baumgartner, Martin Klonk, Helmut Pichler, Richard Seidl and Siegfried Tanczos have been working in the field of software testing for a long time. In recent years, they have had the opportunity to get to know and accompany more and more agile projects from a wide range of industries. Experiences from the telecommunications, medical technology, banking, energy supply and aviation industries meet here.
