The tools have taken the busywork: the pre-reads, the reporting, the deal summaries, the inspection theater. What's left is the job that was always underneath — deciding what's true, building capability in people, designing the system, and growing sellers across a career. Most managers were never taught any of it. They were promoted for selling, handed a team, and left to discover that the skills that made them exceptional are now the habits capping their people.
The Agile Sales Leader is the operating system for that job. Built on the Four Rhythms — Forecast, Coach, Design, Grow — it turns the human skills AI cannot replace into a leader's weekly practice:
- Forecast — deal inspection that finds the truth AI scoring can't see: the single-threaded champion, the silent competitor, budget theater, and manufactured urgency. Includes the ten-question Deal Truth Checklist.
- Coach — the Moment Review, a twenty-minute weekly structure that develops the live selling moments machines can't perform — and the development contract that keeps call recordings a coaching asset instead of a surveillance liability.
- Design — team structure, territory, and quota math for the AI era: the moment-owner role, propensity-balanced books, and compensation that pays for judgment instead of volume.
- Grow — the rebuilt 30/60/90 ramp, performance management that is faster and fairer, and the retention conversations that keep your best sellers before the recruiter calls.
For frontline sales managers, second-line leaders, and VPs — with a complete 90-day installation plan for leaders inheriting a team, a model leader's calendar, 25 ready-to-adapt AI prompts, and ten field-tested templates.
Book 10 of the Agile Seller Series. Reads standalone; pairs with The Human Premium (Book 7), The AI-Native Sales Team (Book 5), and Hiring the Future Seller (Book 6) as the series' leadership shelf.
