AI Agents From Zero is a simple, visual, practical guide to understanding, building, and using agentic AI.
Instead of drowning you in jargon, this book breaks AI agents down into clear concepts, visual explanations, architecture diagrams, workflows, and real-world examples.
You'll learn how AI agents think, plan, use tools, access information, remember context, make decisions, and take action.
Inside the book, you'll learn:• What an AI agent actually is and how it differs from a chatbot
• How large language models, prompts, context, reasoning, and planning work together
• How agents use tools, APIs, files, databases, and the web
• How memory, RAG, embeddings, and vector databases give agents access to knowledge
• How to build practical agents for research, customer support, data analysis, coding, and personal assistance
• How multiple agents can work together through sequential, parallel, and supervisor architectures
• How to make agents reliable using guardrails, evaluation, observability, and human approval
• How to protect agents using permissions, least privilege, and prompt-injection defenses
• How MCP connects AI applications with external tools and resources
• How to move from a simple prototype toward a secure production-ready system
• The key agentic AI concepts, design patterns, interview questions, and builder roadmap you need to know
You don't need to be an AI researcher to get started.
Whether you're a beginner, software developer, technology professional, architect, student, or AI enthusiast, this book gives you a structured path from the fundamentals to practical agentic AI systems.
You'll move through a simple progression:
Understand → Build → Use → Evaluate → Secure → Improve
The goal isn't just to understand what AI agents are.
The goal is to help you build one.
If you've been hearing about AI agents, agentic AI, autonomous workflows, tool calling, RAG, multi-agent systems, and MCP and want a clear explanation of how everything fits together, this book is your starting point.
Start from zero. Understand the architecture. Build something useful.
