What if your veterinarian had a secret detective on staff… and he had four paws?
Meet Kraken, a thoughtful pit bull with a sharp nose for clues and an even sharper eye for details. By day, he’s just another friendly clinic dog. But behind the scenes—tucked under the front desk of a busy veterinary clinic—Kraken runs a top-secret detective agency with his loyal (and slightly dramatic) squid sidekick, KJ.
When a nervous dog named Zeus arrives with a mysterious swollen cheek, Kraken knows it’s more than meets the eye. Is it a bee sting? A hidden injury? Or something much deeper? As the humans rush through appointments and procedures, Kraken listens, observes, and pieces together clues others overlook—all while helping frightened pets feel safe in an unfamiliar place.
Told from Kraken’s point of view, Agent Molar Kraken blends humor, heart, and mystery with real-world veterinary knowledge. Young readers are pulled into an engaging whodunit while learning about animal health, dental care, empathy, and the importance of paying attention to the small things.
