When the world collapsed, Cole Vandermeer fought to survive.
When the darkness stirred, it began calling his name.
In the aftermath of Blackout Protocol, Cole finds fragile refuge among a secluded Native tribe hidden deep in the Oregon wilderness. But the peace doesn’t last. A young boy appears alone in the forest, silent with terror, clutching nothing but a crude hand drawn map with a single, ominous word:
KILLMONGER.
The tribe is shaken. The forest grows strange.
Unexplainable noises echo through the trees at night.
And people begin to vanish...without tracks, without sounds, without warning.
Desperate for answers, Cole sets out with Blue Sky, the tribe’s elder, to uncover the truth behind the boy’s map. Their journey leads them across treacherous terrain, into violent encounters, haunting visions, and an enemy that refuses to show its face.
As panic spreads through the tribe, Cole finds unexpected comfort in Stephanie, a brave young woman whose strength becomes a lifeline he never knew he needed. Together they search for hope in a world that feels increasingly unreal… until even Stephanie is taken.
Voices from the missing begin to echo through the woods.
Shadows shift where there should be none.
Reality itself seems to thin.
And through it all, one thing becomes certain:
Killmonger is coming.
Mysterious, relentless, and impossible to understand, it wants something from Cole—something only he can give. And when the final night falls, the darkness reaches for him at last.
Cole must decide how far he will go, how much he will sacrifice, and whether he can face whatever waits beyond the veil to save the people he loves.
Because to bring them back, he may have to follow them into the unknown.
Afterlight Protocol is a relentless, emotional, and terrifying sequel to Blackout Protocol. A story of survival, heartbreak, courage, and the thin line between reality and something far darker.
Are you ready to disappear into the dark with Cole?
