Includes a history of how the library was created from the consolidation of the Astor, Lenox and Tilden Foundations and the building of its magnificent headquarters on Fifth Avenue, and how the library and its branches are used all over the city. Financials are presented. Illustrated with vintage b/w photographs and other pictures. Measures 7.5" x 10.5" with 38+ pages. At some point, it appears as if the covers had separated from the body of this piece and were reattached with clear tape. This is hardly noticeable and has no impact on the text of the report.
