Desire
A force unseen, yet always present.
In the depths of our souls - It lingers - silently urging us forward.
A paradoxical dance in which the things that we yearn for most
Always elude our grasp.
Life's irony lies in our desires
The dreams that tantalise
The passions that consume
The heart's eternal quest.
Desire, like an intricate tapestry, wove its web into Graham's life, tainted by the enduring ache of her absence - this tale - a mere expression of his everlasting love, or an enigmatic abyss brimming with concealed truths and untamed yearnings?

About the Author
Born of Serbian heritage and raised in Kazakhstan, Austria, and Switzerland, Barbara Matijevic has integrated her multicultural upbringing into her writing that is not apparent in retrospect, but is rather a delicate whisper in the wind—a sensation that lingers within the unspoken spaces between the lines.
Barbara's profound affinity for the sea is a cornerstone of her life, having grown up sailing the Mediterranean with her family. The sea's enigmas often seep into her writing, becoming a powerful metaphor for life's complexities.
Writing, her closest companion since childhood, developed with poetry and evolved into prose complemented by melodic undertones. Barbara's style of writing is poetic, resounding with the boundless sea. She relishes in developing novel narratives, analogous to plunging into uncharted waters, guiding her writing toward unseen horizons as a writer.
