1901 printing, originally published in 1876. Measuring approximately 8.75" x 6.75" with 273 numbered pages. This book is in fair condition. Heavy bumping and tearing to both ends of spine. Binding tape on front and rear gutters. Moderate scuffing and staining on both boards. Front and rear hinges are cracked exposing mesh at both pastedowns. Front papers are loose from binding. Rear pages are loose front binding. Rest of interior pages are clean. Minor text loss from chipped pages. Tom Sawyer is an orphan who lives with his Aunt Polly and his half-brother Sid in the town of St. Petersburg, Missouri, sometime in the 1840s.
