nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - In the busyness of the Christmas season, Advent provides a wonderful opportunity to reflect with awe and gratitude on the grace of God revealed in the coming of Christ Jesus. Advent Reflections from the Puritans invites readers into that wonder through the writings of twenty-eight of history's most gifted Reformed preachers and theologians. Each day's reading includes a brief biographical introduction, a carefully selected primary source excerpt, and a closing prayer drawn from the Puritan's own writings. This unique format allows these faithful servants of God to speak in their own voices, marked by theological depth, pastoral warmth, and a passion for exalting Christ. Their wise insights and wholehearted love for Jesus Christ will kindle fresh wonder at the mystery, grace, and glory of the Savior--Immanuel, God with us.
