Add to basketForensic Science: Towards A New Horizon provides an overview and understanding of the various upcoming areas/subjects in the field of Forensic Science. The book emphasizes theoretical and practical aspects to enrich the reader’s understanding of the various facets of the topics covered.
With the advancement in the ways of committing crime, forensic experts, law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders must have an overview of the newer and less talked about topics such as E-waste Forensics, Canine Forensics, Virtual Autopsy, Food Forensics, Forensics Stylistics among others. This book provides ample opportunity for readers to understand the new concepts, technologies and strategies that would be helpful in scientific aid to investigation. This book is a starting point/origin for the readers and researchers to pick up and delve into the intricacies and details to build up their research work.
The idea behind writing this book originates from the inherent lack of literature on the topics covered herein. The resources available are scarce and scattered, which makes it difficult for readers to gain a complete understanding or even an overview of the different characteristics. Most available learning resources deal with only one or two aspects of the subject and ignore others. The style of this book and the approach gives the law enforcement agencies of not-so-developed and developing nations alternative thinking points, which would help build a more robust investigation.
