About the Author
Prof. (Dr.) Anil Kashyap is the first President and Chancellor of NICMAR University Pune and Hyderabad. He has 30 years of experience in practice, academia and research – both in India and abroad. In his leadership roles, Dr. Kashyap has been Head of UWE Bristol School of Geography and Environmental Management, Deputy Head of Coventry University School of Energy, Environment and Construction, and Founding Professor and Director of RICS School of Real Estate before joining NICMAR as the Director General in September 2021. His expertise includes Infrastructure development and finance, Urban Regeneration, and Real Estate Research. Dr. Kashyap holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with distinction from NIT Kurukshetra, Masters in Urban Planning from School of Planning & Architecture, New Delhi and a Ph.D. from University of Ulster, United Kingdom. Dr. Kashyap is an Alumnus of Harvard University with training in Higher Education Leadership and Change Management. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy of the United Kingdom. Dr. Kashyap always had a passion for academia from early career days and was awarded the Ulster University Fellowship for his PhD. He has extensive experience of innovative curriculum design. Dr. Kashyap has published over 100 papers in peer reviewed journals, international and national conferences till date. He has supervised 5 PhDs and has been examiner for PhD students in India and the United Kingdom. He has also served as examiner for PhD students in India and abroad. Dr. Kashyap has undertaken research funded by research councils, charities and international institutions. Dr. Kashyap has been Chartered Member of RICS, Chartered Member of Royal Town Planning Institute London, Fellow of Higher Education Academy, United Kingdom and Fellow of Institute of Town Planners, India.
Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Goyal graduated in Civil Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra (earlier RECK) in year 1998 and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from IIT Roorkee in year 2007. Dr. Goyal is Gold Medallist in MTech. (Structures) from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. His main area of research is High rise construction, construction management, new construction material and wind/Tornado effects on structures. He did research in Germany, Japan and Czech Republic as Post-Doctoral Fellow (PDF) under prestigious DAAD fellowship of Germany, MEXT Fellowship of Japan and Academy of Sciences fellowship of Czech Republic. Presently he is a collaborative researcher at Wind Engineering Research Centre, Tokyo Polytechnic University, Japan. He is also a visiting faculty of Selinus University, Italy. Dr. Goyal is having long experience in academics, research and administration at National and International Institutes & Universities. He has travelled widely across many countries for various research and academic activities. He is having more than 50 research papers in his credit published in national and international conferences/Journals. He is a founding member of Board of Management of NICMAR University, Pune. Also, Dr. Rajesh is Ex. Founding Dean of School of Engineering, Research and Development and NICMAR Doctoral School of the university. Presently he is serving as Professor and Dean-Infrastructure & Planning, NICMAR University, Pune.
Prof. (Dr.) Rita Yi Man Li graduated from HKU (global subject ranking 14 in QS) and serves as an Associate Professor in Dept of Economics and Finance at Hong Kong Shue Yan University. She is the founder and director of Sustainable Real Estate Research Center. Her major field of research interests lies in SDGs, construction safety and health, housing economics, real estate economics, applied AI. She currently teaches in the Department of Economics and Finance, Hong Kong Shue Yan University. Her expertise mainly lies in real estate finance and economics, construction accident compensation, sustainable development, and climate change with special reference to economics theories. She is listed as Stanford University World’s Top 2% Scientist across 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields of all scientists (2020 & 2021 single year, with the highest rank in the fields of artificial intelligence, Environmental Sciences and Information & Communication Technologies). She acts as a journal editorial board member for many journals and author of 9 books and over 200 articles over the past eight years. Over the years, she has won many local and international awards. She has led as a PI and co-I for many academic research grants, including highly competitive grants from Research Grant Council, ARC Linkage Grant, Public Policy Research Grant and other grants obtained from quasi-public institutions and government departments (over 10 million).
Prof. (Dr.) Gangadhar Mahesh is a Professor at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal since 2013. His teaching and research interests are contracts management, infrastructure management, risk management, and construction industry development frameworks. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from University of Mysore, a Master’s degree in Infrastructure Engineering from Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand, and a Ph.D. in Construction Management from The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. He has a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. Also, he worked as a Project Manager at Energy Utilities Engineering Company Ltd., Bangkok, Thailand. He has various research projects at the National and International levels. He has guided various doctoral, postgraduate, and undergraduate students at National and International levels. He is an Associate Editor and Editorial Review Board member of the Journal of Built Environment Project and Asset Management (BEPAM), an Emerald journal. He was a Deputy Chairman of the Task Force on Sustainability, Center for Infrastructure and Construction Industry Development, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. He has won Wen-Jiang Prize for outstanding academic performance and excellent research project in the field of Infrastructure Engineering and Management from Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand.
Dr. M.D. Deepak is an Assistant Professor at the National Institute of Construction Management and Research, Pune, India since 2019. His research area includes safety management and knowledge management aspects of the construction industry. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, India, and a Master’s degree in Construction Engineering and Management from Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal, India. He has completed his Ph.D., a doctoral degree in the Civil Engineering Department from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, Surathkal, India. He has obtained Institute Scholarship from Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) for pursuing of Ph.D. at NITK Surathkal. He has obtained GATE Scholarship (AIR - 4487) from Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) for pursuing M.Tech. at Manipal University. He is a Recipient of the “Young Researcher Award 2022” by Institute of Scholars for scholarly journals in reputed publishers. He has published 9 international peer-reviewed publications and 2 peer-reviewed book chapters and has presented at various National and International conferences held in India and abroad.

You have the right to revoke this contract within 14 days without specifying any reasons.
The revocation period is 14 days with effect from the day,

on which you or a third party nominated by you, which is not the carrier, had taken possession of the products, provided you had ordered one or more products within the scope of a standard order and this/these product/products is/are delivered uniformly;

on which you or a third party nominated by you, which is not the carrier, had taken possession of the last product, provided you had ordered several products within the scope of a standard order and these products are delivered separately;

on which you or a third party nominated by you, which is not the carrier, had taken possession of the last part delivery or the last unit, provided you had ordered a product, which is delivered in several part deliveries or units;
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (preigu GmbH & Co. KG, Lengericher Landstr. 19, 49078 Osnabrück, Telephone number: +49 (0) 541 / 580 72 84, E-Mail address: mail@preigu.de) by means of a clear declaration (e.g. a letter sent by post, or an e-mail) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You can use the attached model withdrawal form for this purpose, which is, however, not mandatory.
You can also exercise your right of withdrawal online by clicking on a button labelled accordingly (such as ‘Withdraw from contract' or similar) on the AbeBooks/ZVAB website. If you use this online function, you will immediately receive a confirmation of receipt on a durable medium (e.g. via email) containing information on the content of the withdrawal notice, as well as the date and time of its receipt.
In order to safeguard the revocation period, it is sufficient that you send the notification about the exercise of the revocation right before the expiry of the revocation period.
Consequences of the revocation
If you revoke this contract, we shall repay all the payments, which we received from you, including the delivery costs (with the exception of additional costs, which arise from that fact that you selected a form of delivery other than the most reasonable standard delivery offered by us), immediately and at the latest within 14 days from the day on which we received the notification about the revocation of this contract from you. We use the same means of payment, which you had originally used during the original transaction, for this repayment unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; you will not be charged any fees owing to this repayment.
We can refuse the repayment until the products are returned to us or until you have furnished evidence that you have sent the products back to us, depending on whichever is earlier.
You must return or transfer the products to us immediately and, in any case, at the latest within 14 days with effect from the day on which you inform us of the revocation of this contract. The deadline is maintained if you send the products before the expiry of the 14 day deadline.
You bear the direct costs for returning the products.
You must pay for any depreciation of the products only if this depreciation can be attributed to any handling with you that was not necessary for checking the condition, features and functionality of the products.
Criteria for exclusion or expiry
The revocation right is not available for contracts

for delivery of products, which are not prefabricated and for whose manufacturing an individual selection or stipulation by the consumer is important or which are clearly tailored to the personal requirements of the consumer;

for delivery of products, which can spoil quickly or whose use-by date would be exceeded quickly;

for delivery of alcoholic drinks, whose price was agreed at the time of concluding the contract, which however can be delivered 30 days after the conclusion of the contract at the earliest and whose current value depends on the fluctuations in the market, on which the entrepreneur has no influence;

for delivery of newspapers, periodicals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts. The revocation right expires prematurely in case of contracts

for delivery of sealed products, which are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene if their seal has been removed after the delivery;

for delivery of products if they have been mixed inseparably with other goods after the delivery, owing to their condition;

for delivery of sound or video recording or computer software in a sealed package if the seal has been removed after the delivery.
