Transgenic animal biotechnology stands at the forefront of innovation, offering unprecedented opportunities to enhance human health, agricultural productivity, and environmental sustainability. Advances and Applications in Biotechnology: Volume 2―Prospects of Transgenic Animals in Biotechnology presents a timely and authoritative overview of the latest developments in genetic engineering across animal systems. This volume brings together cutting-edge research and practical applications, bridging classical transgenesis with modern genome editing technologies.
What sets this volume apart is its interdisciplinary approach – combining molecular biology, agricultural science, and biomedical innovation – to explore how genetically engineered animals are reshaping the landscape of biotechnology. From livestock engineered to produce therapeutic proteins to microbial systems designed for bioremediation, the book offers a panoramic view of current capabilities and future prospects.
Key Features:
This volume is an essential resource for researchers, academic professionals, and graduate students in biotechnology, veterinary sciences, molecular biology, and agricultural engineering. It also serves as a valuable reference for policy makers and industry stakeholders seeking to understand the ethical, regulatory, and practical dimensions of transgenic animal technologies. With its forward-looking perspective and comprehensive scope, this book is poised to inform and inspire the next generation of biotechnological innovation.
