This book presents the combined proceedings of the 13th International Conference on Multimedia and Ubiquitous Engineering (MUE 2019) and the 14th International Conference on Future Information Technology (Future Tech 2019), both held in Xi'an, China, April 24 - 26, 2019.
The aim of these two meetings was to promote discussion and interaction among academics, researchers and professionals in the field of ubiquitous computing technologies.
These proceedings reflect the state of the art in the development of computational methods, involving theory, algorithms, numerical simulation, error and uncertainty analysis and novel applications of new processing techniques in engineering, science, and other disciplines related to ubiquitous computing.

About the Author
James J. Park received Ph.D. degrees in Graduate School of Information Security from Korea University, Korea and Graduate School of Human Sciences from Waseda University, Japan. From December, 2002 to July, 2007, Dr. Park had been a research scientist of R&D Institute, Hanwha S&C Co., Ltd., Korea. From September, 2007 to August, 2009, He had been a professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Kyungnam University, Korea. He is now a professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering and Department of Interdisciplinary Bio IT Materials, Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech), Korea. Dr. Park has published about 200 research papers in international journals and conferences. He has been serving as chair, program committee, or organizing committee chair for many international conferences and workshops. He is a steering chair of international conferences – MUE, FutureTech, CSA, CUTE, UCAWSN, World IT Congress-Jeju. He is editor-in-chief of Human-centric Computing and Information Sciences (HCIS) by Springer, The Journal of Information Processing Systems (JIPS) by KIPS, and Journal of Convergence (JoC) by KIPS CSWRG. He is Associate Editor / Editor of 14 international journals including JoS, JNCA, SCN, CJ, and so on. In addition, he has been serving as a Guest Editor for international journals by some publishers: Springer, Elsevier, John Wiley, Oxford Univ. press, Emerald, Inderscience, MDPI. He got the best paper awards from ISA-08 and ITCS-11 conferences and the outstanding leadership awards from IEEE HPCC-09, ICA3PP-10, IEE ISPA-11, PDCAT-11, IEEE AINA-15. Furthermore, he got the outstanding research awards from the SeoulTech, 2014. His research interests include IoT, Human-centric Ubiquitous Computing, Information Security, Digital Forensics, Vehicular Cloud Computing, Multimedia Computing, etc. He is a member of the IEEE, IEEE Computer Society, KIPS, and KMMS.
Laurence T. Yang graduated from Tsinghua University, China and got his Ph.D in Computer Science from University of Victoria, Canada. He joined St. Francis Xavier University in 1999. His current research includes parallel and distributed computing, embedded and ubiquitous/pervasive computing.
He has published many papers in various refereed journals, conference proceedings and book chapters in these areas (including around 100 international journal papers such as IEEE Transactions on Computers, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Transactions on System, Man and Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Very Large Scale Integration Systems, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Information Technology in Biomedicine, IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed Systems, IEEE Transactions on Circuit and Systems, IEEE Transactions on Service Computing, ACM Transactions on Embedded Computing Systems, IEEE Systems Journal, ACM Transactions on Autonomous and Adaptive Systems, IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, IEEE Intelligent Systems, etc).
He has been involved actively in conferences and workshops as a program/general/steering conference chair (mainly as the steering co-chair of IEEE UIC/ATC, IEEE CSE, IEEE HPCC, IEEE/IFIP EUC, IEEE ISPA, IEEE PiCom, IEEE EmbeddedCom, IEEE iThings, IEEE GreenCom, etc) and numerous conference and workshops as a program committee member. He served as the vice-chair of IEEE Technical Committee of Supercomputing Applications (TCSA) until 2004, was the chair (elected in 2008 and 2010) of IEEE Technical Committee of Scalable Computing (TCSC), the chair of IEEE Task force on Ubiquitous Computing and Intelligence (2009- ). He was also in the steering committee of IEEE/ACM Supercomputing conference series (2008-2011), and the National Resource Allocation Committee (NRAC) of Compute Canada (2009-2013).
In addition,he is the editors-in-chief of several international journals. He is serving as an editor for many international journals. He has been acting as an author/co-author or an editor/co-editor of many books from Kluwer, Springer, Nova Science, American Scientific Publishers and John Wiley & Sons. He has won several Best Paper Awards (including IEEE Best and Outstanding Conference Awards such as the IEEE 20th International Conference on Advanced Information Networking and Applications (IEEE AINA-06), etc); one Best Paper Nomination; Distinguished Achievement Award, 2005; Canada Foundation for Innovation Award, 2003. He has been invited to give around 30 keynote talks at various international conferences and symposia.
Young-Sik Jeong is a professor in the Department of Multimedia Engineering at Dongguk University in Korea. His research interests include multimedia cloud computing, information security of cloud computing, mobile computing, IoT(Internet of Things), and wireless sensor network applications. He received his B.S. degree in Mathematics and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Korea University in Seoul, Korea in 1987, 1989, and 1993, respectively. He was a professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Wonkwang University in Korea from 1993 to 2012. He worked and researched to Michigan State University and Wayne State University as visiting professor in 1997 and 2004 respectively. Since 2002, he has been serving as an IEC/TC 100 Korean Technical Committee member, as the IEC/TC 108 Chairman of Korean Technical Committee, and as an ISO/IEC JTC1 SC25 Korean Technical Committee member. Also He is an EiC(Editor-in-Chief) of Journal of Information Processing Systems, an associate editor of JoS(Journal of Supercomputing), IJCS(international Journal of Communication Systems) and an editor of JIT(Journal of Internet Technology), finally an associate editor of Journal of Human-centric Computing(HCIS) and so on. He is also a member of the IEEE.
Fei Hao received the B.Sc. degree in Information and Computing Science and the M.Sc. degree in Computer Software and Theory from Xihua University, China, in 2005 and 2008, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Soonchunhyang University, South Korea, in 2016. He is currently an associate professor with the School of Computer Science, Shaanxi Normal University, China. He has authored over 80 papers in international journals and conferences. He received five best paper awards from KISM 2012, GreenCom 2013, MUE 2015, UCAWSN 2015 and CUTE 2016. He is a recipient of the IEEE Outstanding Service Award at DSS2018, SmartData 2017, IEEE Outstanding Leadership Award at CPSCom 2013 and the 2015 Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad. His research interests include social computing, ubiquitous computing, big data analysis and processingand mobile cloud computing.

Right of withdrawal for consumers
(A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly neither commercial nor self-employed).
Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.
Information regarding the right of withdrawal
Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Buchpark, Trebbin, Germany, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
